Its me.... again!

Well weekends do me in everytime. Back on the horse this monday...been dealing with a little stress that has my life upside down, but committed to this journey nonetheless, and Medifast foods are helping me along the way even when I happen to eat outside of the program. The point is that I am severly under my BMR and should still be losing weight. Heres to an awesome week and new numbers on the scale by next weigh in. Will FINALLY take a picture of my Portebella Salad which I am having for dinner. That will put me around 1550 calories for today. Hopefully I can get some exercise in to help counteract my stress.

For Dinner last night

So, for dinner on Monday night (my lean and green meal) I had 270 grams of a New York Strip steak and Creamy Cauliflower. It was delicious. I so not use the same normal ingredients for the creamy cauliflower since we are limited with the Medifast diet. But we all know I do things a lil different anyhow on Medifast since this diet is about me not quitting and losing, not about me sticking to a set of rules like I am in elementary or something. So anyway, as you can see I started to eat the steak before I realized I needed to take a picture of it. Needless to say, I was hungary! It was a filling and satisfying meal full of flavor.

In other news, my BFF finally picked up my old scale so that I can stop religiously weighing myself for 5 minutes every morning on both scales. There are times when I am almost late for work because I do that. lol. But the old one is gone so I have been doing good for my new scale, which is about 6 to 8 pounds higher than my old one, will catch up. It is almost there. It now says I weigh 330.6, so 2 more pounds 'til I am back where the old scale left off and I can stop feeling like a failure although I know the scale is higher than the other one. Like I said before, I am a denial dieter. I don't believe it until I see it.
Anyway, my department at my job is having a picnic/cookout type of thing at a park tomorrow so that leaves me back down temptation road making a left at WHAT THE HECK TO DO FOR LUNCH drive. Anyway, I will be with my husband and toddler, so I am going in there with a gameplan and so is my medifasting husband. Wish me luck.
Until next time.

Weekend Concurers

So the weekend has come and gone. I usually fail on the weekends with eating and slip up from being around my other family members and in laws and their Mcdonald binges and stuff, but this weekend was much different. I didn't stay completely on program, but I did very well compared to my usual. I made the Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms from the TSFL Cook book on Thursday. Yes, I count Thursday as the weekend since I am off every Friday and anytime at home is really the weekend to me. They were delicious. I will post pictures.

Then over the weekend I took the ingredients for the Stuffed Mushrooms and put them in a Romaine Lettuce salad which already had carrots and red cabbage in them. I took out some ingredients. The results were AMAZING. It tasted so good and you get a huge portion which makes you feel stuffed. I now have a new love for food. No longer am I loving Big Macs and fast food, I love putting things together to see how they will taste with this and how they will taste with that. I should have taken a picture of the salad but it went so fast between me, my husband, and my sis n law that I couldn't. We were mad hungry. Anyway, to all that struggle during the weekends and with their lean and green meals, I say try some new stuff, mix a little of this with a little of that, and see what you come out with. It may just be the recipe that kicks you back into gear towards the road to weight loss.

What's For Dinner Tonight?

Lean and Green Cookbook. First up, the "Stuffed Portebella Mushrooms". It looks extra tasty on the picture and thanks to the blog I read with a pic, it looks like it tastes awesome. So although its only 10:55am, I am already looking forward to 6:30pm for dinner. YAY! I must say Medifast gets 4 thumbs up for creating pancakes (chocolate chip and original) for us Medifasters. I am a huge fan of waffles and pancakes and syrup, and this new meal did JUST ENOUGH to keep me from ever wanting to quit my diet again. I get to indulge in protein packed Pancakes like I am cheating but only really eating less than 200 calories. Are you kidding me? I bought like 10 boxes already...lol. So thanks to the recent change up in different dinners and the newly found pancakes and ice cream with medifast, I am on a much easier -less bumpier road to weightloss. Now, the biggest feat would be the weekend, as I almost always fall off the diet on the weekend...Here's hoping!

Medifast 1st Blog

So, I started Medifast on 2/19/2010 weighing in at 390.4LB, and have lost a total of 59.8 pounds to be a current weight of 330.6. Bought a new scale which wants to weigh me about 6 pounds higher so until it catches up, the old scale is still my best friend. lol. After getting through that hurdle I have been hovering around the 50 pounds weight loss for a while and decided I needed to do something more than journalize about it on myfatsecret.com, I needed to blog about it as well, along with other things in the days of my life. So here we are...typing... So let's let the adventures begin:

I am ordering my groceries from Peapod trying to get all the ingredients from the TSFL lean and green recipe book, and realized I am going to have to take that one recipe at a time with the most delicious looking ones first. So, I am starting with the Portabella Mushroom one since I am a HUGE fan of cheese. Getting the incredients for that alone is like $30 but atleast it'll make more than just one since my husband is doing Medifast with me. I think creating delicious lean and green meals is the start to being successful on this diet because most people on this diet look forward to eating dinner after eating 4 or 5 small meals a day. Me, I eat 4 meals a day and a bigger lean and green portion since I am over 300 pounds. This is recommended since I usually ate between 4,000 and 5,000 or more a day and dropping that to 1000 calories is VERY drastic. Can't wait to try and take pictures to post to my, currently non-existing, fanbase of the lean and green meals. Will also post my before and current pics soon as well.

Until next time, Klove is OUT!
